We are delighted to announce that we received a new grant from the National Science Foundation to advance our automated lab to support lab activities for high school students and teachers who engage in synthetic biology. The grant is part of NSF's efforts to enable the future of making. As a first start, we will involve students from a Philadelphia public high school and young people participating in weekend workshops at The Franklin Institute, a Philadelphia-based science museum. Drop us a line if you are interested in participating.
We are very pleased to receive an innovation seed grant from Singh Center for Nanotechnology. The grant will help us develop our low-cost microfluidic flow cytometer chip for the microbial design studio.
